Licensed to the Board of Trustees of the Vincennes University, WVUT is an integral part of the Vincennes University Broadcasting Program. Since 1968, WVUT has provided trusted programming and services that inspire personal growth, community engagement and a love for learning in people of all ages.
WVUT has led Indiana in public television since it’s inception. The first on the air and again the first to transmit in high definition. WVUT’s HD production facilities are second to none in Indiana.
WVUT, Vincennes University Broadcasting, the only local television provider in the community, actively engages the community through creative content and services that respond to local needs and interests. WVUT educates, informs, enlightens and entertains through local, regional and national programming that addresses local issues. Original programming, that includes a major commitment to news, strives to emphasize current issues. WVUT is also used as a training ground for future broadcasters.
