Troy Public Radio is a service of the Broadcast and Digital Network and part of the Marketing and Communication Division of Troy University.
Through its three terrestrial signals WTSU, WRWA, and WTJB, Troy Public Radio serves listeners in South Central Alabama, Western Georgia, and Northern Florida which includes the following communities: Montgomery, Troy, Auburn, Opelika, Dothan, and Phenix City in Alabama, and Columbus in Georgia.
Troy Public Radio is a growing and diverse media group that in recent years has expanded its format both over the air and online to meet listener needs. In addition to broadcasting national news and music programming from NPR, APM, BBC, and PRX, Troy Public Radio provides coverage of local news, produces an award winning daily news and culture magazine, and regularly files reports for national networks.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
Multiple awards from the Alabama Broadcasters Association (Best Radio Talk Show, Best Radio Reporter), Society for Professional Journalists, and the Southeast Journalism Conference.
