Company Overview

KCCU is a Public Radio Station licensed to Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. KCCU serves southwest Oklahoma and western north Texas with our network of full-power stations: KCCU-Lawton, KLCU-Ardmore, KMCU-Wichita Falls, KOCU-Altus & KYCU-Clinton/Western Oklahoma. KCCU also operates two translators, K275AE in Lawton and K261CR-Chickasha.

KCCU is CPB qualified and an NPR Member Station. KCCU also airs programming from APM, PRI, WFMT Fine Arts Network, PRX and other smaller distributors.

KCCU broadcasts HD1 & HD2 in Lawton, Ardmore and Wichita Falls. All other locations are analog. KCCU streams both programming streams 24/7 in iTunes(r) and mp3 formats.

HD1/ analog is primarily News / Classical with Jazz on the Weekends. HD2 is primarily News / Jazz with classical on the weekends.

Company History

KCCU was formed in the late 1980's as a response to a community need. Other communities needed public radio as well, so the network was gradually expanded.
