Broadcast Engineer
Description
The Broadcast Engineer position is responsible for installing radio and television equipment, providing engineering support for all television and radio production operations; assisting Broadcast Journalism students as necessary; and performing duties in radio and television master control and our radio and television studios, including maintenance of master control and production systems, ingest and playback servers, routing systems, satellite reception equipment for radio and television and microwave systems and other duties as assigned by the Senior Engineer. Also, the Broadcast and Digital Network maintains nine off-campus sites which includes our BDN buildings, grounds, towers and equipment in Montgomery, Dothan, Phenix City, Troy and other sites. In case of an emergency this position, and all other engineering positions, are on call, 24/7 when an emergency occurs.
